AVOCADO FARM PROJECT
Megawatt ReFlex™ battery (154 modules) will be installed at Farm ACW, a 10,000-acre avocado farm in California.
The farm combines their existing solar array with energy storage.
This as a next step towards sustainable energy usage and reduction of their carbon footprint. The project is supported by the California Energy Commission, recognising the potential of the ReFlex™ battery in realising the state’s ambition of a 100% clean energy future.
HERON ISLAND PROJECT
Heron Island in The Great Barrier Reef is home 220,000 birds and is the nesting ground for endangered giant green sea turtles.
It also houses a world renowned and vital research station for the University of Queensland (UQ) dedicated to understanding and saving the reef.
The island is not connected to the electricity grid and, until recently, relied on diesel generators for its power supply.
By connecting twenty ReFlex™ modules and a solar array, the research station is able to primarily run “diesel-off”.
The pristine and fragile environment now has its own microgrid that operates reliably, without noise and environmental impact.
To make this project a reality, we worked closely with UQ and JUWI, a globally active system integrator of hybrid power systems, realised this project together with UQ and our partner JUWI.
